Arche Prime – Hidden in a remote corner of the galaxy, far from prying eyes, lies one of the CGC’s most classified laboratories: Epsilon Black 9 (EB9). Long unknown to the public, this site has now been uncovered by the governments of Arche Terre. The Gazette of Arche Terre presents this location to the world. Between controversial research, extraterrestrial threats, and opaque military operations, here’s what we discovered through interviews with Alpha, a field agent of R.A.V.E.N.

A Laboratory Born in the Shadows of War
According to Alpha, a key figure in the operation’s early stages, Epsilon Black 9 was established under an ultra-secret mission by CGC Military HQ. Its purpose? To study Hive specimens—an aggressive alien species responsible for the ongoing war devastating multiple star systems.
We learned that Arche Prime—our planet—was under quarantine. No corporation was permitted entry, except CGC Military HQ. But with the war against the Hives, the quarantine was lifted. This allowed Thebs, an entity operating under CGC authority, to recover the research of Kael Verik, a scientist instrumental in Hive studies. Currently, Xian oversees operations on-site, though her exact role remains unclear.

The Hive Threat: A Possible Contamination?
One of the most alarming aspects is the Hives’ ability to infect living beings. According to Alpha, a Hive viral strain can infect humans—but only under very specific conditions. This happened once to an individual from Sambrune, whose name we withhold out of respect—the only documented case.
This revelation raises a critical question: Should Arche Terre prepare for a potential outbreak? For now, no cases have been reported, but vigilance remains essential.

Infected Asteroids and a Precarious Defense
The situation grows even more alarming with the discovery that the Hives use infected asteroids as invasion vectors. Arche Prime has already been targeted by these cosmic projectiles. While the Salamander (a Retaliator Class Cruiser in low orbit) attempts to intercept them, the coverage is not absolute.
This occurred a few months ago and was the subject of a previous article (Gazette No. 13 – « Of Falling Blights and the Watchful Ship: Tidings from the Northern Skies of Archeterre »). It was then revealed that one of these asteroids landed in the far north, beyond the Belmorga Pass region. This is a matter taken very seriously, and we hope our city-states will heed the threat.

Who Is Really in Charge?
The power structure within the CGC appears complex, if not chaotic. Thebs, the entity Alpha works for, operates under government orders—but each corporation within the CGC has its own agenda. As for Xian, she seems to be a key figure, though her methods are described as… unconventional. It appears she is responsible for what happens within and around this laboratory.
Moreover, the Consortium has clearly established a strong base to defend the site, which remains accessible to all city-states of Arche Terre—for now. But for how much longer?
