The Consortium Interviews: Queen Anne Toreador
Reporter: » Queen Anne, what is Lomidar’s general stance on the Consortium? »
Anne Toreador: » Well Lomidar’s stance I would hope you will find reflected throughout the other nations of Arche Terre… We are not in the habit of bowing down to otherworldy conquerors. I played my own part in forming the rebel alliance that pushed the Consortium out of these lands the last time around… And I am proud to be in the position to do so again, though I am also saddened that circumstances look likely to require the Consortium to be taught yet another lesson from those they deem to be lesser than them. »
Reporter: « There have been reports that the armies of both Durakiss and Oloth have re-engaged with Consortium forces in a few battles. Has your kingdom been recently involved as well? »
Anne Toreador: « You’ll understand of course if I adhere to an operational silence as it pertains to any troop movements. »
Reporter: « Of course, would it be alright to ask in a more general sense? If there have been any engagements? »
Anne Toreador: « That would fall under operations at this time. Speaking more generally for the nations of Arche Terre, this recent confrontation with the Consortium is in it’s infancy and as such some pieces have yet to be moved to their starting positions. »
Reporter: « There have been some recent tensions between the factions of the Arche in relation to a land dispute in Paridisa. Do you believe this will have a negative affect on leaders coming together to fight this new threat? »
Anne Toreador: « I will ensure that it does not. If you are a student of recent history, you may be aware there were tensions amongst the Arches at the onset of the last Consortium war. The role I played within that campaign was largely diplomatic and I do not believe it would be too egotistical of me to say that my efforts were able to smooth over such tensions to allow us to focus on the threat at hand. If I was able to do so in the position of Chancellor of Durakiss… You can believe I will do so as Queen of Lomidar. »
Reporter: « I know you want to keep your military operations private, but does Lomidar have plans to defend against the Consortium? Like leading another combined effort? »
Anne Toreador: « Again, I will not give details of plans whilst they are still needed to be protected by operational security. I will say that Lomidar is -as it has always been- at the forefront of seeing that the Arches are able to work together to achieve great things. »
Reporter: « Thank you for your answers, is there anything you as the queen of Lomidar would like to tell the people of the Arche at large in relation to the Consortium? »
Anne Toreador: « I would tell them what I would hope they already feel in their hearts. That there is a fire within the spirits of the proud peoples of this land… A fire which rejects tyrrany at every step. That is a fire which burnt brightly when we rose up together to break the shackles of the Consortium in the war of the Rebel Alliance and if needed it is a fire which shall light our way through darkness once again if these foolish golems truly have forgotten the lessons we taught them the last time. »
