Hearken now, ye gathered folk, to the solemn words I lay before thee this day, under the watchful gaze of the honorable people who defended Durakiss in the pastand the enduring stone of Durakiss herself.

By my gods or my Honor, I swear to uphold the sacred laws and customs that bind us, to protect the weak and stand firm against the foes that lay siege to our walls. My courage shall not falter, nor my vigilance wane, as long as blood flows through my veins and breath fills my chest.

I shall bear arms in her defense and offer counsel in her need, dedicating my days and nights to the prosperity and peace of Durakiss. My loyalty shall be unbroken as the mountains, steadfast as the roots of the earth.

Should I turn from this path, may the shadows forsake me, and the ground refuse my steps. This oath I swear freely and without reservation, so may it bind me till death takes me hence, and the tales of my deeds find their home among the stars.
