Mur Village invaded!
A new stage was reached in the war against the Consortium. During the moot that was supposed to gather the different factions of Arche-Terre in Durakiss, dreadful news interrupted the meeting: Mur Village had been invaded by a Consortium armed force.
That news was first brought by one of the participants and was immediately confirmed by the intelligence service of the crown of Durakiss. After a short consultation , the moot was canceled and an improvised task force was set to try and retake the settlement from the Consortium.
The situation was, however, more dire than what was anticipated. Even though the group managed to reach Mur Village with minimal casualties, in good part thanks to the effort of their medical support, and successfully established a safe perimeter in the settlement for a while, they were then forced to retreat due to the constant arrival of reinforcements from the Consortium. Mur Village was thus left to its fate, at the hands of the invader.
So far, Mur Village, a little settlement in the very center of the island, had managed to remain neutral in all the conflicts happening in the Arche. Its leader, the countess Roxy Ravenhair, refused to partake in any hostile act toward the Consortium. This neutrality, however, hasn’t stopped the Consortium in claiming that area as their own, and the whereabouts of the countess and her family is yet unknown.
On the positive side, that attempt made several factions unite in a common effort to repel the Consortium: the crown of Durakiss, the house Au’Tic of Chel’Oloth and several citizens of Lomidar and Elysium along with swords-for-hire and local adventurers. Needless to say, a plea was addressed to the citizens of Lomidar and Elysium to warn their rulers about the situation, for all forces of the Arche are needed in the battles to come.
It is too early to determine the future for Mur Village, for its people, if there will be refugees or if the village will remain independent after this crisis… Still, the Daily News addresses its sincere support to the people of Mur Village in these dark times.
